What is a bidet?
A bidet (pronounced
"be-day") is a device that cleans one's rectal or genital area
by directing a gentle stream of water. Most bidets are relatively expensive
toilet-sized stand-alone units built into sufficiently large bathrooms.
The bidet attaches to your existing toilet and provides the same benefits
as the larger bidets, but without the bulky fixtures.

What if I live
in a cold climate?
Some expensive bidets
do heat water. Therefore, our bidet is not recommended for use in extremely
cold climates. However, cool water has certain advantages over warm water.
First of all, cool water is very refreshing! Many individuals enjoy the
soothing sensation of cool water against their skin - especially people
with hemorrhoids, diarrhea, or during other times of inflammation of rectal
or genital areas. Doctors have recommended cool water rinses for rectal
swelling or inflammation. Also, with warm water, it is often difficult
to feel the exact location of the water stream. It is easier to detect
where cooler water hits your bottom, which allows for more thorough rinsing
of affected areas.
